About Your Blow Dryer
- Cool-shot button-This helps set & lock your hair in place. Multiple heat & speed settings. After your hair is dry, blow cold air on the section you are working on to help set your hair.
- Diffusers & nozzles-Diffusers give flat hair a lift. Best for curly hair. Nozzles direct the heat where you want it. Narrow nozzles are great for straight hair.
- Ionic dryers-Hate static? Ionic dryers cut down on static by producing negative ions that reduce the size of water droplets & seal moisture into the hair shaft. This leaves hair looking sleek, not frizzy.
About Your Flat Iron
Iron Type- Ceramic irons distribute heat evenly leaving less chance for burning hair.
- Tourmaline heats up fast and creates high-shine, super straight styles that will last a good length of time.
- Ionic irons are known for reducing frizz by promoting moisture retention in the hair shaft.
Size
- If you have a lot of hair, go for a wide flat iron of two inches or more.
- If you have short or thin hair you can use a narrow flat iron as little as 1/2 inch.

Shampoo-Is meant to remove dirt, oils and product buildup from your hair.
Moisturizing Shampoo
Creamy, moisturizing shampoos work best for dry or frizzy hair. Look for wheat germ oil, shea butter and nut oils (macadamia, for example) in your shampoos. These tend to coat the hair shaft, trapping water inside.
Gentle Shampoo
Non-cream like shampoo that does not weigh the hair down. It gently cleanses the hair. This is for hair that is limp or fine.
Color Protection Shampoo
Color protection shampoos contain gentle cleansers and ingredients that preserve color. For hair that is color treated.
Conditioner-Replace oil that was taken out my shampoo.
Moisturizing Conditioners
Are concentrated with humectants. Humectants are compounds that attract and hold moisture into the hair. The best hair types for this conditioner is dry, curly, frizzy and coarse hair.
Protein Conditioners
Protein conditioners simply coat the hair shaft and ends with a layer of protein. It can fill in gaps if the outer cuticle is damaged, giving the hair a smoother look and adding shine. This type is for hair that is damaged or fine.
